Concurrent Credit
The CPLS Concurrent Credit program partners with Colorado Christian University (CCU) to offer CPLS students in 10th-12th grades the opportunity to receive up to 39 hours of college credit while completing select classes at CPLS.

What extra classwork is required for students?
No additional classwork is required. Students simply complete their CPLS courses and receive credit with CPLS and CCU after they have registered with CCU for the course.
How much does concurrent credit cost?
Each concurrent credit course costs $350: $250 paid directly to CCU at registration and $100 paid to CPLS via FACTS, billed after the final registration deadlines for each period.
How do students register?
Students and parents register for classes by going to https://www.ccu.edu/academy/dual-credit/registration/
From there, they will register with CCU, choose the courses they wish to take, and pay CCU. CCU will then notify CPLS of which students have registered for which courses.
What are the registration periods?
Fall-only classes and yearlong classes have a registration period from 9/15 to 11/15. There is a secondary, alternate registration period for yearlong classes 1/15 to 2/15 only for students who did not register for the course in the primary registration period.
Spring-only classes have a registration period from 2/15 to 4/15.
Will the credits transfer?
Prior to enrolling in a course with CCU, students should check with the school(s) they wish to attend.
CCU is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the same accrediting agency that certifies Kansas State, the University of Kansas, and most other major universities. Generally, this means that dual credit courses should transfer to other colleges. Sometimes, students will have to appeal to have credit granted.
How do I pay?
$250 is paid to CCU when students register for the course. After the registration period ends, CCU will send a list of enrolled CPLS students and $100 per course will be billed to their FACTS account.
