Why I teach at CPLS: As a parent it is important for me to teach at a school that I would want my own children to attend. I realized I had found that school the first time that I stepped foot on the Cair Paravel campus. At CPLS I am able to teach a high quality curriculum while staying true to my faith. I am also able to share that faith with my students, not only in Bible class, but throughout the day in every subject I teach. The Classical Christian approach weaves the Scriptures into every subject and every part of the day. I have fallen in love with this approach to teaching.

Personal Testimony: When I was 10 years old, I made the decision to attend confirmation class at my hometown Church. By the time I had completed the class, I had accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and became a member of the Church. During my teen years I had a phenomenal teacher for Teen Bible Study. She led with a kindness and grace that was a great representation of God’s love. I’ve had a relationship with God throughout my life, but I wasn’t as committed to Him as I should’ve been in my early adult years. It wasn’t until I went through the painful experience of losing a parent that I realized how much distance I had allowed between myself and God. Thankfully I serve a merciful God and he welcomed me back with open arms. After my father’s passing I have rededicated myself to growing and nurturing my relationship with Christ.
