Education: BS in Elementary Education (Florida State University), MS in Early Childhood Education (Florida State University), Reading Specialist Certification, ESOL and Special Education Endorsements

Why I teach at CPLS: I grew up attending public school and later taught in public schools and had wonderful experiences. However, my heart longed for the ability to share my faith with my colleagues and students, since that is so central to my life. The ability to pray with students and help them grow not only academically, but also spiritually, became more and more appealing to me. I also wanted a Christian environment for my daughters, and teachers who would encourage them in their faith walks. I love the Classical approach, the family feel, and the focus on Christ’s teachings at Cair Paravel.

Personal Testimony: I had the blessing of growing up in a Christian household. My parents took us to a Bible-based church and there I learned about my need for a savior. I accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age and continued growing in my faith through my school years. In college, I began to have a deeper relationship with Christ and really started to grow as I assisted my husband in youth ministry and began leading young teen girls through Bible studies. The twists and turns in life have served as reminders to both fully trust and fully depend on God and His plan and purpose for my future.
