Why I teach at CPLS: My husband and I decided to tour Cair Paravel after receiving multiple recommendations from friends. At the time, I was happily teaching at the Christian school my child attended, which was affiliated with my church. Although I didn’t think we would be interested in transferring, curiosity drove me to take the tour. To my surprise, after walking through the halls of the school, I became very interested in classical Christian Education and sought out every piece of literature I could find on the topic. It was incredibly difficult to leave a school that we loved so much. Still, after much prayer and contemplation, I knew that I owed it to my daughter to provide her with an education centered around Christ and one that would intellectually challenge her.
The first year our daughter was enrolled at CPLS, our family was overwhelmed with love and support. This warm atmosphere was so compelling that I eagerly jumped at the chance when a teaching position became available the following year. The school has a strong family atmosphere, emphasizing a love for Jesus Christ while focusing on the importance of community and higher learning. Families at Cair Paravel shine bright as they allow Christ to be reflected in their behavior and actions. I love it here!
Personal Testimony: I am deeply grateful for the strong Christian community that has surrounded me throughout my life. Their support has been instrumental in my faith journey. While I haven’t always fully appreciated my faith or understood God’s teachings, I am now on a daily quest to delve deeper into Scripture and live the life God has created for me.
