Why I Teach at CPLS: As a CPLS graduate, I know firsthand what a gift a Classical Christian education is. I believe deeply in Cair Paravel’s mission and in the work of forming students into lifelong learners. This is a truly special place, and returning to teach here — to be part of the work that shaped me — has been a joy.
My Personal Testimony: I grew up in a Christian home with parents who modeled Christ-like love, and I was blessed to receive a Christ-centered education at Cair Paravel. My faith became my own during my junior year, while we were studying philosophy in Great Ideas. God used the language of the classics we read to stir in me a desire to know Him, to walk with Him, and to share Him with others. College brought a culture shock as I stepped into the secular world, and I quickly learned that facing all this life holds — the good and the hard — meant clinging desperately to the Lord. It’s a lesson I’m still learning, and one I hope to pass on to my students.
