Why I Work at CPLS: I taught in the grammar school at Cair Paravel from 2016 until the spring of 2024, before accepting the position of grammar school principal. I taught in a couple of different schools before teaching at CPLS and I longed for the opportunity to have deeper discussions with my students. When issues between classmates would arise, I found myself thinking how nice it would be to be able to talk about forgiveness and pray for each other as part of repairing relationships. As the Grammar School Principal, I love partnering with parents and classroom teachers as they help students develop a biblical worldview and guide them in their pursuit of truth and wisdom.

Personal Testimony: I was raised in a Catholic home. As an avid reader, I spent one summer reading every Janette Oke book I could find. In every book, the message of the gospel was evident, and some character always recognized his or her need for a Savior and prayed for salvation. I realized I needed the same and began my personal relationship with Christ at that time. When I went to college, I joined a Bible study and realized how much of my life had been spent trying to earn my way into heaven by being a good student, a good kid, and working hard. Understanding that I couldn’t earn my way into heaven was absolutely freeing. My family currently attends a Bible-believing church in Topeka, where we enjoy growing in our understanding of God and His Word along with other believers.
